With a strong foundation built on service, integrity, and hard work, Ken brings a unique background to the world of real estate. A 20-year military veteran, Ken began his career in the United States Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Constellation, serving as an Operations Specialist. He continued his service with the United States Coast Guard for 16 years, where he worked as both an Operations Specialist and Boarding Officer. During his time in the Coast Guard, he served as a vessel traffic coordinator in the Houston Ship Channel and participated in search and rescue operations throughout the Great Lakes region.
After retiring from military service in 2000, Ken pursued his passion for helping others by earning a bachelor’s degree in education. He went on to teach middle school math and computer science for nine years, where he found real satisfaction in helping students understand new concepts and gain confidence—something he still carries into his real estate career today.
In 2012, Ken expanded into real estate investing, starting his own business buying and flipping homes. He has since flipped more than a dozen houses and has been involved in the construction of three new-build homes. This hands-on experience gives him a strong understanding of how homes are built, how to spot potential issues, and what truly adds value to a property.
In 2017, Ken became a licensed real estate agent and began helping clients buy and sell homes full-time. He is known for his clear communication, honesty, and willingness to go the extra mile—literally. Whether it means crawling into a tight space, climbing into an attic, or taking a closer look at potential concerns, Ken isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty to protect his clients’ best interests. He approaches every home with a trained eye, helping buyers avoid costly mistakes and guiding sellers on how to present their home in the best possible light.
Having lived in the Warrensburg, Knob Noster, and Whiteman Air Force Base area for over 26 years—and growing up nearby—Ken offers deep local knowledge that benefits both buyers and sellers. He has a special passion for working with first-time homebuyers and military families, understanding the challenges that come with relocation and major life transitions. He takes pride in helping clients understand not just what they can qualify for, but what they can truly afford, so they can enjoy their home without unnecessary financial stress.
Outside of real estate, Ken enjoys spending time outdoors fishing, hunting, backpacking, and exploring Missouri’s lakes, trails, and conservation areas. He especially enjoys long hikes and multi-day backpacking trips. He and his wife have built a life in the area, raising their two children here, who are now grown, and enjoying time with their four grandchildren.
Ken’s approach is simple: treat people right, be honest, and help them make smart decisions. Whether buying or selling, his goal is to make the process as smooth, informed, and rewarding as possible.
